The Challenge
Feeding additional conduit into an already-active IDF cabinet requires careful planning to avoid disrupting the existing infrastructure it supports. The run needed to be properly sized, securely supported along its full length, and terminated cleanly at the cabinet — all while maintaining the organization and accessibility of the existing setup.
Our Approach
Our team ran the 20-foot, 2-inch conduit along a path planned to minimize interference with existing infrastructure, installing a junction box and custom support structure to keep the run secure and properly aligned. The conduit was tied into the existing IDF cabinet with a clean termination, preserving the cabinet’s organization and leaving room for future cable pulls. Work was completed with attention to code compliance and the facility’s existing labeling and layout standards.
The Result
A secure, properly supported 20-foot conduit run feeding directly into the existing IDF cabinet — clean, code-compliant infrastructure ready to support current and future data cabling needs at the facility.
